Spring is finally here! Flowers are starting to bloom, it is (slowly) warming up in the Pacific Northwest, and the season of Lent is in full swing! For those of us with church gigs, this is a busy time of concerts and worship services leading up to Holy Week and, ultimately, Easter Sunday. Coming up, I will be singing Pergolesi's Stabat Mater for the Stations of the Cross service at St. Joseph Parish in Seattle, along with my talented colleagues Madeline Bersamina (soprano) and Matthew Semelak (organ). I also have the pleasure of cantoring a newly minted Passion setting by Hina Sakamoto for the Good Friday service at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Tacoma. Of course, there will be plenty to do at my home church including our Maundy Thursday tenebrae service, Easter sunrise service and our main Easter worship service.
